In my presentation, as the article is relatively practicle based, I mainly focused in the first part which is talking about the definition, concept and examples. However, Wesley pointed out that the emphasis should be on the concept of swarming strategies. It would be better to further elaborate the key points and critique Rheingold's arguement rather simply summmarizing the article. Also, it is good to raise discussion about the relationship between smart mob and posthumanism.
ReplyDeleteIn the presentation, Vivian delivered the article about Smart mobs, which I think is a practical one. Mostly, she focused on the smart mobs’ examples in the foreign countries which taken place to form a community by the use of cell phone. It is appreciated that her illustrations explained the article generally. Yet the further explanation about the swarming system in the article could be added for improvement. Besides, it is impressed by the discussion after the presentation. As our discussion linked the concept between smart mobs and posthumanism, which belongs to my assigned scholarly writing’s field, it also improved my understanding of posthumanism.
ReplyDeleteVivian gave a quite clear idea on the smart mobs as she involved many examples. After the presentation, it makes me understand the ideas that gathering makes power, technology benefit this power.
